Committed to the Cause

Sara Zollota

This organization has allowed me to merge my love for medicine and my Albanian heritage to help improve, change and save the lives of as many people impacted by thalassemia as possible. I am a third-year microbiology major at the University of Florida and plan on continuing feeding my curiosity for science and passion for philanthropy through this organization in the years to come.

Joana Nuraj

Being a thalassemia carrier, and having my family affected by it, has made me witness how devastating this genetic disorder can be. My passion for medicine and to help others inspired me to be part of Albanian-Aid. Through this organization, I want to help people, who unfortunately have to live with this genetic disorder, be able to live a happier and healthier life.

Erjola Toska

Vice President

My passion for this cause stems from wanting to help others, especially those who have a lifelong battle with thalassemia. Personally, as an Albanian with a love for medicine, I want to dedicate my life to helping these individuals effected by this disease as well as others in general. I believe in our organization's mission and making donations to help the less fortunate.

Ivan Grela

Vice President

I have always wanted to pursue a career in medicine in order to eventually be able to make a difference in the world. However, I realized I do not need to be certified in order to help. Because of this passion of mine to help others, my friends and I have decided to make this nonprofit in order to help a country that desperately needs help.

Adam Block

I am a third-year, pre-med, University of Florida Nutritional Sciences major interested in going into the field of orthopedics. Starting this fund has allowed me to incorporate my previous funding experience with my current knowledge of nutrition and medicine. I look forward to our prosperity and assisting Albanians in the near future.

Jacob Mcmanamon

I am a fourth-year Journalism Major at the University of Florida. I will be attending Law School next fall. Those who have the misfortune of living with thalassemia in Albania do not possess the proper resources and assistance to live a better life. Through this organization, I hope to improve the lives of those who possess thalassemia along with raising awareness for the struggle that they have to endure every day.
